Bitget's One-Click Copy Trade: What Happens When the Trader Closes a Position

Dear Global Bitgetters,

This article is about the possible scenarios facing followers when the trade closes a position.

After following a trader to open a position, you may encounter four scenarios when the trader closes the position:

I. The position may be closed automatically

When the trader closes the position, your copying position may be automatically closed by the system.

II. The position may be closed manually

You can manually close your copying position under "My Copy Trades" or "Current Copy Trades" on the futures page.

III. TP/SL Ratio is Triggered

When the pre-set TP/SL ratio of your copying position is triggered before the trader closes the corresponding position, it will be automatically closed.

IV. The Loss of Your Copying Position Exceeds the Available futures assets

When the floating loss of your copying position exceeds the available futures assets, it will be automatically closed.

Additional Notes: How will the copying position be displayed under your "Current Copy Trades"?

Each copying order will be separately shown under "Current Copy Trades";
You can close your positions one by one under "Current Copy Trades" - "Details";
You can close multiple positions of the same direction under the same futures contract with just one click under "Current Copy Trades" - "Summary";
All positions of the same direction under the same futures contract will be merged into "Positions".

For example:

Let’s assume User A is following Trader B and Trader C to open BTC/USDT positions with the leverage of 100X.

User A copies Trader B to open a long position of 100 contracts at the opening price of 13,000 USDT and copies Trader C to open a long position of 100 contracts at the opening price of 14,000 USDT.

Then the opening price shown in User A’s "Positions" will be the average price of the two positions, meaning you will find the opening price is 13,500 USDT under "Current Copy Trades" - "Summary".
