Announcement on the Adjustment of the ROI Calculation Rule for One-Click Copy Trade

In order to enhance the user experience of One-Click Copy Trade, Bitget has adjusted the ROI calculation rules on December 20, 2021 Singapore time, as detailed below.

I. ROI calculation formula.

ROI= Profit and Loss / Margin* 100%

Profit and Loss = Current Account Equity－Net Transfer-In (Transfer-In－Transfer-Out) － Previous Account Equity

Margin= Previous account equity + Total transfer-in (converted USDT value of total transfer-in for each trading pair)

II. Examples

1. When the trader only operate on the USDT-Ⓜ Futures

Suppose there is 1000USDT in his account at T1.

It changes into 1200USDT after the transaction at T2. In this case, the profit is 200USDT

ROI = 200/1000 = 20%

Now suppose the trader transfers 500 USDT to the account and continues to open positions.

Due to the market volatility caused by the liquidation, the account equity falls to 0 at T3.

In this case, the ROI = 20% + (0-500-1200)/(1200 + 500) = -80%

Suppose the trader then transfers 200 USDT to the account.

After trading, the account equity turns into 300 USDT at T4.

In this case, the profit is 100 USDT

The ROI = -80% + (300-200)/200 = -30%

2. When a trader trades on both USDT-Ⓜ Futures and Coin-Ⓜ Futures

At T1, the account has 1000 USDT and 0.1 BTC

After the transaction (at T2), the account equity is 1200USDT and 0.09BTC

At this time the index price of BTC/USD is 10000

Profit = 1200-1000 + (0.09-0.1)*10000 = 200 - 0.01*10000 = 100, ROI = 100 / (1000+0.1*10000) = 5%

The trader then transfers 500 USDT to the account and take 0.01 BTC out.

Due to market volatility, the position of USDT-Ⓜ Futures is liquidated. With the BTC index price at T3 being 12000, there are 0USDT in the account, and the profit for BTC is 0.02.

Profit = 0 - 1700 + 0.02* 12000 = -1700 + 0.02*12000 = -1460, ROI = 5% + (-1460/(1700+0.09*12000)) = -47.51%
